The Nigerian military has launched a large-scale ground and air offensive in Kaduna and Zamfara states, targeting bandit enclaves after a significant surge in mass kidnappings. This major operation aims to dismantle criminal networks, rescue victims, and restore security amidst a deepening humanitarian and economic crisis in the North-West.

Nigerian security forces have successfully rescued 75 students abducted from Government Secondary School, Mariga, in Kaduna State. The operation, conducted early Tuesday, has now shifted to an intensive search for the remaining 105 students still held by armed bandits.
